One of our key areas is packaging for medical devices. When dealing with fragile items, we ensure the best material is used for that specific type of packaging. Additionally, if a product has a unique shape, we can design packaging to accommodate it. This includes pharmacy packages, test tubes, and other healthcare industry-related packaging solutions.

In 2024, NMC Cellfoam introduced a system to calculate and report CO2 emissions for each product, offering complete transparency to customers. “Now, when an offer is sent to a customer, the CO2 emission numbers are automatically included,” says Rubesved. “There is a lot of work behind that, and it’s something we’re proud of.”
“We see a growing demand for transparency in environmental impact,” adds Zubic, “and we believe that more and more customers will appreciate having this kind of certification or label on their products. This is an important development that sets us apart and reinforces our commitment to sustainability.”
Additionally, incorporating more recycled materials into solutions is another important aspect of sustainability.
“One of our sustainability-driven innovations includes replaceable plastic components for medical devices, allowing the core device to be reused multiple times while minimizing waste,” explains Kimmo Korkola, Sales Manager at NMC Cellfoam in Finland. “Our packaging solutions also enable customers to reuse the same packaging when returning products, reducing unnecessary waste in the supply chain.”
