Sustainability and Sustainable Development at the Core of Our Strategy

Sustainable development and responsibility are at the core of our strategy, we are committed to act accordingly by reducing our CO2 footprint and striving for sustainable solutions. We continuously work to reduce our CO2 footprint, and to gain a clear understanding of our CO2 footprint to be able to take necessary measures to mitigate its long-term impact.

So far, we have defined our sustainable development strategy and communicated it throughout our organization. We have identified our main pillars and the UN’s sustainable development goals for 2030. Our goals include increasing recycling, reducing CO2 emissions, protecting physical health, and empowering individuals.

Sustainability in Material Choices and Energy Solutions

We want to ensure that as many materials as possible contain recycled components, therefore we collaborate closely with our extensive network of suppliers.

We strive to increase the usage of PCR (post-consumer recycled) or PIR (post-industrial recycled) in our materials and enlarge material selection with recycled fibre and wood-based materials.

We have increased our use of renewable energy and started using clean, renewable electricity to reduce greenhouse gases and environmental impacts. Our sustainable development action plan includes a new company car policy where all cars owned by company are electric. Additionally, we have completed greenhouse gas reporting (GHG) for Scope 1 and Scope 2. Scope 3 will be completed during 2024.

Future Responsibility Measures

To maintain our direction towards sustainable development, we plan to map our energy consumption and focus on mapping the CO2 emissions of our transportation both domestically and internationally. Additionally, we are working on starting a collaboration with GreenSoft to more effectively comply with chemical regulations and directives in our manufacturing processes.

We aim to encourage our customers to choose more responsible products through our SMART Engineering. We are preparing to conduct a life cycle analysis (LCA) of our products by calculating their future impact. This way, our customers will receive more detailed information, in addition to price, about the product’s emissions, allowing them to compare the ecological aspects of different products.

Strengthening Health and Safety Culture

Strengthening the health and safety culture is an important part of our sustainable development plan. We are standardizing our approach to health and safety by implementing a reporting system for accidents, near misses, and risk assessments. This way, we can understand our current safety level and ensure that risks related to occupational health and safety are minimized.

We maintain our commitment to responsible operations by setting clear and concrete goals, prioritizing the environment and the safety of our employees.
